Kahsmir Valley Tour

DELHI - SRINAGAR - GULMARG - SONAMARG - PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR - DELHI

DAY 1 DELHI
On arrival in Delhi, you are met by your guide and transferred to your hotel. Overnight is in Delhi.

DAY 2 DELHI
After breakfast you will head out by car for a comprehensive tour of Delhi. Overnight is in Delhi.

DAY 3 DELHI - SRINAGAR
You are transferred to the airport for the short flight to Srinagar. On arrival,you are transferred to your houseboat accommodation. In the evening, take a shikara boat ride to witness the sunset from among the beautiful lotus gardens.

DAY 4 SRINAGAR
After breakfast, you will head out for a tour of the world famous Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love). Later, enjoy another shikara boat ride around the watery markets and small bazaars floating together and selling everything from fruit to Kashmiri saffron. Overnight is on your houseboat.

DAY 05 SRINIGAR - GULMARG - SRINAGAR
Today you will take a day trip to Gulmarg, one of the most stunning hill resorts in the country. In the summertime, Gulmarg is a paradise for golfing (the highest green course in the world and is found at an altitude of 2650m), fishing, walking and horseback riding. In the winter, it becomes a fantastic playground for winter sports, especially skiing.

DAY 6 SRINAGAR - SONAMARG (THE MEADOW OF GOLD) - SRINAGAR
You take a full day excursion to Sonamarg, a beautiful hill station known as the gateway to Ladakh. On reaching Sonamarg, which is also called the Meadow of Gold, you will enjoy a delicious lunch, take a ride on horseback to the nearby Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year, or just enjoying this haven of natural delight. You will return to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and rest.

DAY 7 SRINAGAR - PAHALGAM
You are taken on a day trip to Pahalgam by car, stopping on the way to look at saffron
plantations, the Avantipur ruins and the Anantnag natural sulphur spring. A wonderful day is spent exploring the natural pine forests and enjoying the easy charm of the valley and its stunning Himalayan backdrop before returning in the evening to Srinagar and your houseboat.

DAY 8 SRINAGAR
In the morning, you will visit the Shankaracharya Temple which commands one of the most magnificent views of the city of Srinagar with its lakes stretching across the valley towards the Himalayas on all sides. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city and shop for famous Kashmiri handicrafts, or indulge in a few marvellously lazy hours drifting in a shikara on the lake.

DAY 9 SRINAGAR - DELHI
Today you will be taken to the airport for your flight back to Delhi. On arrival you will settle into your hotel and are at leisure for the remainder of the day.

DAY 10 DELHI
You are taken to the airport or station for your onward journey. Tour ends.
