Sikkim

Sikkim is situated in an ecological hotspot of the lower Himalayas, one of only three among the Ecoregions of India. It is a mountainous region in the eastern Himalayas and has 600 species of birds. Perched between Nepal in the west, Bhutan in the east, and China in the north, Sikkim is 7300 square miles in area and contains Mount Khangchendzonga, the third-highest peak in the world.
